Mount where the roof can keep seed dry and birds have an open view of approaching predators.

Tradeoffs

Good capacity and weather protection, but old seed can hide beneath fresh seed.

Maintenance

Make clean easy.

Empty fines and damp seed; scrub corners and let every part dry fully.

If birds appear sick, pause feeding and follow current local wildlife guidance.
